You'll stay up because you play with confidence and you're not afraid of losing.

You'll stay up because you're prepared to have shots on goal.

You'll stay up because as a team you don't spend the whole match scared to go forward.

You'll stay up because you have pace up front.

You'll stay up because you don't have players breathing out of their backsides after 60 minutes.

You'll stay up because you don't have a culture of injuries and excuses in your club.

You'll stay up because you bit the bullet and replaced your manager to save your season.

You'll stay up because you have a manager who is tactically aware.

They'll probably stay up because they've got a board who are willing to spend proper money on proper Premiership quality players instead of giving the manager £1.5m to save a season.

They'll probably stay up because they've got a board who didn't decide they'd done enough 2 years ago and stop investing proper money in the team.

As for the team, new addition always give a team a lift. We needed it more than ever in January and our board sat back doing FA.

When we win tomorrow we'll go back above them.

Gosh, how did we ever get through the last war with people as defeatist as some on here? Talk about miserable.

Portsmouth have as much chance as we do of staying up. Its all in our own hands. Beat vile tomorrow and we're in 17th again.

Anyone'd think we were 10 points adrift at the bottom.

If Albion kept the belief last season and succeeded why can't we?

You say no one likes me. Do I really care? No!

As a BCFC season ticket holder for 17 of the last 19 seasons no I don't support Villa.

It may come as a surprise to you that there are some of us who care about this club but, I and others, are disgusted with regard to how it's been managed over the last 2 years. It's regetable that that you can't see that but it can't be helped.

You stick with your obsession about playing 'the Villa.' while me and others worry about where this club is going next season.

I think that the reson Portsmouth are back into the battle is not because of all the things listed, but because they have got points against teams who have other priorities(sp) this has given them confidences which leads to other things.

After staying up last season they will be looking to repeat it, but its in Blues hands now, which is probbly the best place for it to be considering you have to look out for your self, and we are not totally relieing on other peoples results.

I will not say congratulations to Portsmouth because they will be getting relegated this season, and Birmingham are staying up.

Didnt Middlesboro field their reserves today???? Where was Viduka and Hasslebaink?? Shame on you McClaren. England manager in waiting ...you must be joking. I know they have a cup game next week but i dont expect you will see other teams fielding substantially weakened sides. Boro are like West Ham a few weeks ago.
Certainly the luck is with Portsmouth for the fixtures but they are no better side than us at the moment. And those that slag off our club on this forum also ought to be ashamed of themselves. I say them, go support some other team, 'cos what you write on this forum is far from support. And as for Jakoblue who writes 'You'll stay up because....' Perhaps you ought to write 'You'll stay up because there are supporters like me who dont really support Birmingham'

Steve Bruce has not turned into a crap manager in the last 2 years.

IMHO it has more to do with the lack of investment over the last 2 years.

The last time we signed anyone of signifficance we were looking very good. Finishing 13th last season was very good. It wasn't the 10th of the season before but we were comfortable none the less.

Then we get last summer, the board think they don't need to do anything because we're good enough. The only player they ADDED to our squad was Nicky Butt on loan. Everyone else was already part of thes quad.

1 addition to an already faltering squad is not good enough. Arsene Wenger, Alex Ferguson, Jose Maurinho, Raphael Benitez and many others would struggle on that kind of backing form the board.

No manager will succeed with BCFC as long as our board are big headed enough to think we've made it. We've got half a decent squad. The rest are eithe troo old, too young or just not good enough.

Yes Bruce has made mistakes but face reality. The problems lie a lot deeper than just a failure to sack the manager.

jackoblue should be entitled to express his opinions on this forum without having his support and loyalty questioned, and moreover should not have to put up with the abuse that is directed at him for expressing those opinions imo.

As for Middlesbrough, it's no good whingeing about them fielding half a team or more of reserves, we are where we are because we have been crap for the majority of this season. And on the same subject, it is questionable whether Boro would have done any better if they fielded their strongest team today, because they may have not been focused on the job in hand, with 'bigger games' on their minds in the near future

The players you mention were i believe "rested today" tough choice really play against Portsmouth and risk injury, there by ruining your chances in the cup semi finals.

Given similar circumstances do you think SB would not have done the same thing?

Why are people not allowed an opinion, when did you change the rules? because people have a differing opinion to yours it does not mean that they support the club any less than you.

Have you not watched Viduka and Hasslebaink lately? At least Boro would have had a chance of scoring today if they had played.

I hate to say this but its not looking too good :(

We need to beat Aston Villa to get back above Portsmouth tomorrow, although I'm confident that we can do it, something keeps telling me were going to draw.

Even beating Villa will put us out of the relegation zone on goal difference only, there would be no points gap between Portsmouth and blues.

We then have Blackburn and Everton, two teams who we would normally be looked at as having no chance of beating, although we did beat Bolton who most people thought would be impossible for us.

Whereas Portsmouth have Charlton and Sunderland, sundeland will almost defenately be a win for them.
